      Is that one of those propane jobbies, conroe? I have a little battery-operated thingy that repels them for a 3-metre radius and it works perfectly for the hot tub. I'd much rather put a stop to things at the source, though, so I might contemplate breaking out the big tools.

      Conroe, I remember you telling us about your mosquito magnet a few years ago. I had never even heard of them. Funny thing, right after that, we took a land tour to Denali and I saw one of them in the park. I knew exactly what it was!

      Solved my mosquito problem, but I'm now on my third one. Yes Subbie, it's propane burning to give off CO2, and it has an attractant that sorta smells like human skin. Certain regions use octanol, others use luminex. It uses a fan and creates a mild vortex that the mosquitos fly into.
      They're caught in a net with a window. They try to get out of the window until they desiccate. And yeah Rixer, they used them in Guadalajara to greatly reduce the population. Cost ya about 30 bucks a month to run at least for me. 20 for propane and 10 for luminex. Deep Woods Off is a lot cheaper, but I just hate spraying chemicals, especially on my skin.

    Just before I put the shampoo to his head he looked at me and asked what happened to the COVID defense. i.e Being one of the first signs of COVID is loss of smell a smelly dog is a good thing so you can check your status every morning. She said that was ok for my status but not for hers if she could smell it.

    Welp, I took apart two rock tumblers, cleaned and adjusted the belts this morning. Took a short walk and now sitting in the back yard enjoying a non alcohol beer and half a gummy.

      Most tumbles take from 4-6 weeks with 4 changes of grit size. Besides tumbling, I cut, shape and polish some into pendants and wire wrap them in sterling silver. Then there are wind chimes, cool night lights, polished displays, etc.
      My next project is going to be turning my natural wood walking stick into a wizard stick with a clear polished agate embedded on the top.
      It keeps me off the streets......:rolleyes:
