loliKhorne: Gems can pretty much choose to become pregnant or not. Their organs only work if they desire it. Like with how Amethyst can both eat, pee and poop with her digestive system while at the same time Pearl and Garnet don't starve when not eating - they simply choose not to "activate" their metabolism. The same would most likely apply to reproductive system/organs as well.
