Anonymous3: Clair is right. Mr. Mime doesn't have any type advantage over Kingdra and Kingdra is only weak to dragon and fairy. Mr. Mime only learns one offensive fairy move via TM and doesn't learn any dragon type moves at all. Not to mention fairy doesn't even exist in gen 2 or 4. While one might argue Mr. Mime's high special defense helped, in Gen II Hyper Beam counted as physical, so depending on which gen this is Mr. Mime can't even leverage that.

Anonymous4(3): Wow. I can't believe I forgot Mr. Mime gained the fairy typing later on. Regardless, said typing didn't exist at the points when he could have fought her so the Mr. Mime would have been pure Psychic type so, yea, I still feel Clair's right here. At least assuming it was an even playing field she probably should have won.
