Anonymous2: What I don't understand is how some faggots still shit their pants over something that happened well over a fucking year ago. It truly is maximum autism.
Anonymous3: @Anonymous: The "shit starts tasting better after some time passes" really is a pathetic argument. It's the only one you people ever use though.
Thrakerzod: @Brollyhero93: I stopped drawing things people requested for a while to finally play through Doom 3 and the universe decided that corrective action must be taken.
Also, it would be one thing if Twilight's transformation made the show more shitty but even though the episode where it happened sucked, (big time) it really hasn't hindered the show since. Hell for this last season the writers even decided to start planning ahead. Kinda like they're learning from past mistakes and actually trying to improve in places they used to fuck up. I think, if they keep improving, we might get something with as much of an involved plot as... not quite Venture Bros but somewhere above the final season of Moral Orel.
notanonymous: @Anonymous: Reading is fundamental, but so is comprehension. Anon2 didn't say anything even hinting at "shit starts tasting better after some time passes", they were talking about how obsessive some people are over being publicly butthurt, like Spoonman said.
bAv-R34: @Anonymous: Maybe I'm unfazed by the ongoing shitstorm because I never really liked Twilight, but this is character development we're talking about here. Sure, it's poorly planned and written on the behalf of executive meddling, but nevertheless it's still character development. Out of all the games/movies/tv shows where the main character takes leaps and bounds in power/rank, MLP FiM is probably the only show I've ever seen about the main character growing and changing to fit into a higher status, and the fandom is being assmad about it. Especially the Twilifags. You people should be goddamn happy that your goddamn waifu ascended in status, not be causing a shitstorm about it. This must be some sort of advanced autism if you're mad at your waifu getting a more important role.
Still, I wouldn't mind if TS actually lost her alicorn and princess status in the show. For quite long time I thought it would happen, but after season 4, it is quite apparent it will not.
notanonymous: @Thunderdome: "worst canonical change in the history of any TV show ever"? Was MLP:FIM your first show ever or something?
(Yeah, I know stupidly exaggerated hyperbole is A Thing[tm] on the internet. Doesn't mean I have to like it... even if it means I'm jumping into another "maximum autism" crowd, to borrow from anon2. :P )
rdobet: @bAv-R34: I never liked Twilight either, but mostly since she was basically the main character in a show about friendship. For season 1 it was fine since that was the established paradigm, but then season 2 came along and started to diminish that status quo by having several episodes with other characters playing the main character along with Twilight missing entirely from the episode.
I loved this change because the show is a show about friendship, and, in a good friendship, everyone's at least close to equal. That and the obvious problem of her now outliving her friends by thousands of years.
If they all become Alicorns this would be solved, but it would also likely be dumb as shit. If they just move on afterwords and the elements are never usable again, that would be a really depressing moral from a show about friendship. If she just replaces the rest of the Mane 6 either by using the elements alone or with new friends though, it really undermines any message about the importance, meaning, or permanence of friendship.
Also, as a bonus, assuming her mind works like a humans, after a few centuries, what was a lifelong friendship for the other ponies would be equal to the friendship you had with a kid for a year in kindergarten for her.
Anonymous6: Let's be real, the show died in Season 2 when the ruler of the kingdom was overpowered by a bug because "LOVE!" and completely forgot about the giant threat of shapeshifting insects because the plot demanded it. Disagree if you wish, but I never even managed to finish S3 and didn't hear a single thing about S4 that didn't scream "We're just lifting stories from fan fiction!" The only good thing about this series now is the porn, which is also decreasing in the good stuff and going more into the "Murder, blood, rape, EDGE" bullshit. I have never seen a fandom just shit itself so rapidly.

@Anonymous: I believe the point is that even retards don't have -that- long an attention span to devote towards being so majorly butthurt.

Frankly I saw the alicorn thing coming from season 1. Hell I even remember seeing fanart of Alicorn twilight back then so I was hardly the only one.
But like the introductions of Armor/Cadence who I like as characters the execution was just bad.

I pretty much was losing interest in the show a while before Twicorn, so I don't care myself.
