som: Thanks, guys. I'm surprised anyone knows about this show. It was another French production shown on Nickelodeon when I was a kid in the 80's. Like Chapi Chapo, I had no idea it was originally French at the time.

Anonymous4: som, here the duke.... you are now one of my heros, I was thinking about drawing that gal after i drawn kira from "once upon a time... space"
I find that Arcana (in my country she was called like that) was quite a brown sugar babe, just like kira, so i wanted to draw her in the first place, but I see you won that.... Bravo amigo!!!

som: Thanks, man. I've never heard of Once Upon a Time...Space, but from the few tiny pictures I can find, the little brown girl you're talking about looks cute.

Anonymous10: During 52 episodes, we never learnt wether Arkana had hair or not. This drawing is a welcome answer to that question ... The drawing is a great homeage to this beauty. One can also vote her up at http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/the-hottest-cartoon-characters-of-all-time?page=3

I grew up with the original French version of this show (with subtitles). One day I found myself singing:

Suit sexy Arkana jusqu'a creux de la terre
Créer enfants avec une femme shagmique pour la futur de la terre
Arkana - ecoutez moi. Vous etes shagmique - très shagmique.

In the original version, Tehra is called Shagma, and shagmique is French-Arkadian for tehrific. The filmmakers did not vaste the occasion to show their contempt for the English language by naming the spaceship Shag shag. No wonder why that name was altered to Tehrig. On the other hand, this show makes one want to shag ...

Anonymous11: I did some searches on Kira and found that she, like Arkana, is from a cartoon that is originally French. Her name in the original French version is Mercedes. I have never watched Once Upon a Time...Space, but Once Upon a Time...Man was televised in my country, so I recognise the style of the cartoon.

There seems to be something with French cartoons and beautiful dark women. You also have Cleopatra in the comics (and cartoon) Asterix. Beautiful white women? Leave that to the Japanese.

Now you can vote for both Arkana (currently no. 106) and Mercedes (currently no. 133) on this list of the most sexy cartoon women: http://www.ranker.com/crowdranked-list/the-hottest-cartoon-characters-of-all-time? The voting has great impact if you can log in with for example Facebook.

Anonymous12: Today's technology cannot even create a Frankenstein's monster. But maybe one day scientists will be able to do as in episode one - 3D print an Arkana. The drawback is that if the mothershaggers who run the world today (cf. for example www.fampo.no/sdo.html) ever get their hands on a technology like that, we risk that they create an Arkshag or 1 000.
