Anonymous3: they never really illustrated raistlin to be really frail-looking as the books described him.

Anonymous4: Yes but at this point in the book, Raistlin has absorbed Fistandantalus and taken back the vitality that was taken away from him.

Kreller: Hey, I remember that wizard-looking guy from when he was Nekron in "Fire and Ice"!

Anonymous5: Raistlin never had any vitality to begin with. He started out as a runty, sickly little kid. Then he fought fistandantalus and became even weaker, physically.

Chupacabra555: To anon2: this was always one of my favorite Dragonlance/Caldwell images (next to the one where Goldmoon is bare-thighed ^_^).

I did a version of it myself (Raistlin is nude in my version only because I couldn't get the wizard's robe to fit that pose :-) : http://img102.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=60877_Raistlin__s_Temptation_by_Chup4Cabra_123_114lo.jpg

Anonymous10: @Anon 4, actually after he fought Fistandantalus and absorbed his essence, he became much stronger, physical, regaining all of the lost life force he had lost in his original bargin with him during his Test. This illustrated by the loss of the chronic and wracking cough which had plagued him for years before, and a generally hardier build.

Anonymous11: In the third book of the Lost Chronicals, Raistlin swaps Fistandantalus's body with his own, kills Fistandantalus, tricks the queen, and hands out overall pwn.

When he heads back in time, Raistlin essentially becomes Fistandantalus to keep the time-continuum in its proper flow since humans cannot change the flow of time. Without Tasslehoff and the gnome's interference, Raistin would have had his body ripped apart when opening the portal to the Abyss, his soul stuck in limbo, only to repeat the steps of Fistandantalus.

Anonymous14: This is just an image made by Clyde Caldwell, very famous illustrator from TSR (who passed away not too long ago). Yeah, not Rule 34, though he does like to draw very thinly clad, voluptuous women. He's famous for it, but never really actual any sex, just voluptuous women looking sexy wearing thongs.

And yes, that is his illustration of Takhisis and Raistlin, just not actual Rule 34 of them doing it. This is just a scene out of the Twins book that he was commissioned to paint.

Anonymous15: I need a spoiler people because its driving me nuts and I can't find any more books in the thrift stores. So I've only got a scattered few of the books
I'm reading Dragons of Autumn Twilight vol 1. Almost finished. It's killing me to know if Fizban from that book, is actually this "Fistandantalus" I keep hearing about.

Anonymous18: This picture is not a continuity error - the third Legends book Test of the Twins actually makes the error. Raistlin had indeed absorbed the life force of Fistandantilus by this point in the story. In Time of the Twins, when he is encounter in Istar, Caramon remarks that he looked like did when they were young. His skin was no longer gold and he had lost the hourglass eyes. He asks if Raislin will be like that when they return to their own time, to which he replies no, although the book fails to adequately explain why not. When Raistlin and Crysana enter the Abyss, they do so in the past... the writers had painted themselves into a corner and needed to advance them back to the present to catchup with the other characters, even though no reason for his time-traveling forwards is ever given. When he "arrives" in the future (still in the abyss) he comments to himself (and the reader) that he is back to how he was after the Test in the tower. Sloppy writing to be sure but not the artists fault.

Also its not 34, but that didn't stop me from fapping to it as a kid so the upload is appreciated!
