iammok: It looks like we've got bad news. (well, for those who like Furronika's art.) In looking for more sources of Furronika's works I've found that the VCL and a couple of other galleries that had been put up by the artist were taken down earlier this year. There are other comments that the mailing list is no longer being answered prompting people to speculate that the artist has left the furry/porn arena behind.
iammok: I'd dearly like to be able to find that mailing list. It may be that the constant barrage of idiot sourced negative comments about the works might have depressed Furronika. If we can find our way back to that mailing list maybe we can put some more positive feedback into the stream. Don't put the address here. Send it to me in the private email system here on Rule 34.
One always has to remember that, unless the work is a commission, the purpose of a artists work is primarily to satisfy the artist. A constant stream of negative comments from people who have nothing to lose can put an artist off their work. Nothing wrong with the work, they just get tired of listening to the negativity from the idiots whose mothers didn't teach them well.
marcusabroad: Rule 34 cannibalises itself - folk here grind down artists with constant negativity until they no longer want to produce or share their work, and then _all_ sites connected to x-toons and their fans suffer.
iammok: I know it wasn't the artist who posted the items here but it's not impossible that the artists come and see what people are saying and this isn't the only forum where the ongoing flood of mindless negativity goes on.
I've got about 650 files but I need to do some sorting to prune the duplicates and near duplicates and do some consistent renaming. (Dang imagefap, for example, renames everything that passes through their site with a plain number for a file name.)
I'm considering creating a website for 'retired' artists so the remaining fans can swap items and collect the best of them.
