Anonymous1: Leela is a cyclops. She is from the mutant race living in the foul sewers like C.H.U.D.s. I know from teratology studies that cyclops are dead at birth, dead within a few days - fortunantly.
Anonymous3(1): The Futurama episodes I was able to see did not give her true origin (tho there WAS a brillant episode where a guy tricked her into thinking that he & Leela were the last of her kind, their planet wiped by a cataclysm.
Channel 5 pre-empted so many episodes that viewers gave up on the series. They -even chopped off the very end of a story to give a news report ! They never apologized or reshowed the chopped off climax or reschelduled the episode for next week !
