Anonymous4(3): Deleteme tags should be always accompanied with a reason tag (like duplicate, or not_porn). There was no reason tag set, so deleteme tag alone is void and can be removed.
And personally, I never liked report button. I don't get the feeling that my reports get through, with tagging I can at least be sure that admnins or mods will find the image. And that way I can keep track of it too.
Also, if I tag an image for deletion I can remove the tag myself in case I later find out that the image doesn't need to be deleted. With reporting I can't un-report it.
Plus, reporting is for pussies who want to stay anonymous. If you want an image to be deleted, be a real man and let the world know (through the tag history) that you are the asshat who requested its deletion. People have the right to know.

It sends a PM. When I report, the image disappears soon after. With tags, you have to wait until the mods get around to looking at the "deleteme" list.

Duh, nothing prevents you from doing both. I put in the tags, make the report, and make a comment saying it's been reported, so someone doesn't duplicate the report. When the image is deleted, the tags and comment go with it.
jackrabbit: Another advantage of the report box is that you can put a link to the image right into the report, i.e. "dupe of >>12345". That way the mod can go right to the duplicated image from the PM. I assume the report software automatically adds a link to the reported image.
Anonymous8: One thing that is annoying about Report Box is that if you enter in it something and then accidentally click anywhere, you can't add anything else. Because if you click anywhere in the RB space again it will delete everything you typed so far. Weird..
Well, I admit Report Box is good for reporting single images, but I usually search for several duplicates in one category and it is more convenient to use the tagging system. Very often there are way too many dupes I come across, and if I simply report each I may lose track of my previous reports at some point and forget whether I already reported an image or it is a different duplicate. With tagging I can find more dupes than with Report Box, and faster.
I'm not sure if there is a point in both tagging and reporting. I don't think it makes things easier for moderators than just tagging, but if it does I'd use that (when necessary).

More convenient for you. Not for the mods. They need the link to the original image and tagging alone does not provide that. With reports, you can put the link right in the box. With tagging, you have to add the link in the comments (which many people do not do).

If you just make a comment saying it's been reported, this issue goes away. It also prevents multiple reports by different people on the same image.

The report gets their attention immediately. Then they can scan the tags to handle all the dupes at once if they want to. As long as the comments contain the links.

13. Do not remove any deleteme or related tags. Let the mods and admins handle it.
