Anonymous2: Yeah, the point of her was to be hot. Not that you can’t be lulled by something less than an outstanding beauty but it’s definitely easier if she is. She’s basically Homer’s temptation. She’s fit and gorgeous, shares the same interests and is into the guy and all signs point to the idea that he should go ahead and that his life would actually be better with her. But a marriage and vow truly means something and even though staying faithful to your partner is hard, it’s the kind of commitment you signed up for. Not that I think all marriages are great and are meant to be but Homer really does love his wife.
