At least, ODST/Spartans looks the damn part to take part in a galactic warfare against an advanced alien race. And besides, you wanna talk about goofy looking? Star Wars' stormtroopers. May not take up a lot of spacial volume, but their overall design looks like some kind of plastic action figure doll.

Anyways, I wish there were more for Tychus with Nova. Raynor doesn't deserve her. Tychus was the only guy in that world manly enough to lust after normal chicks that wasn't Kerrigan.
