deathstriker: I am preety sure Gome and everyone here that if Disney tags where still allowed in here they would be the prominent ones. Hell Im gonna say it, they would even dethrone Porkyman in terms of quantity.
notanonymous: Yeah, ds, but Disney isn't one single franchise.
The part that makes me go "hmm" the most? FiM has only been around for a few years. SW has been around for like 35 years (release of ANH was 1977, IIRC). Of course, for like half of SW's existence there wasn't a WWW to spread the word and otherwise allow people to easily communicate with others, either.
(And before someone throws the "old fogey" card, "easily communicate" doesn't really describe BBSes, usenet, and e-mail lists that existed before the WWW. :P )
deathstriker: No na you are correct, FiM has become one of the most major economic and social reicarnation of a cartoon that has appeared at the golden age of the 80's, maybe the most succesfull. Even the beasts from the 80's such as Transformers Thundercats Heman TMNT etc.
Objectively speaking it made the turning stone of the new age cartoons, and its sucess no one can deny. I for one see this success with a good eye. It gives me faith for a similar success of the Carebears show. :)
But to be completely honest I think FiM will eventually go to the way of Porkyman and Spongbob Squarepants.
Anonymous2(1): I don't expect the series to last very long, even if they make an additional season or two due to unexpected popularity of FiM the 4th generation of toyline will eventually end and the toys will be re-introduced with new characters, designs and themes along with a new MLP show.
But nevertheless, FiM has become the turning point for the franchise and from now on Hasbro will make sure the next reboot of the show will retain the formula of success that made FiM what it is.
Anonymous3(1): Only because Touhou existed since mid 90s and FiM is only about a year old... Of course Touhou had a HUGE head start, but the pace at which the porn and original content in general is created is more or less the same for both.
Sintime: Fim is based off a previous show, Touhou isn't and again, you need to visit more sites than just this place, a lot of Touhou porn isn't uploaded yet, not counting what's going to be made.
Sintime: ^ That's because it's the same person posting endless cg sets of Touhou, and the sites I'm talking about with over a hundred thousand touhou pictures doesn't allow CG sets.

(Yeah, I know that's exaggeration, but going solely by what's posted here it seems a lot of the animu stuff posted here is like that.)
