Voltiman: Ahahaha I don't know how old is she in the comics, but technically in the video game since Sonic adventure she is 12 yo not 16 yo (in Sonic CD it was noted she was 8 yo)

When SEGA made Sonic Adventure and subsequently and gave all of the characters updated designs, the comics made up a storyline where Amy "wished on a magic ring to be older so that Sonic would notice her", in order to justify the sudden switch in appearance from classic to modern. This meant that in the comic, Amy physically jumped from 8 years old to 12, but her mind is still like that of an 8 year old's.
