This is Ruth and Billie from the Walkyverse, my continuity that started in 1997 and is still ongoing (via Shortpacked!). This depicts something that happened in 1999: Ruth is a grad student here, versus being a mere college junior, and so she’s a few more years older than Billie… who she babysat as a kid. So, yeah, there’s that extra “fuckedupness” there that everyone enjoys in a relationship. The art itself was drawn in 2005.

(This is not Ruth and Billie from Dumbing of Age, in other words.)
