ConsciousDonkey: @Anonymous: Actually, some drugs absorb much faster through mucous membranes than other ways (most notably digestive tract). See "vodka tampon" or "alcohol enema".
fishmonger: @ConsciousDonkey: This is true. Also, from what I have gathered from television, some people (i.e. singers) would butt-chug booze instead of drink it so they didn't risk damage to their throats. Then again, the show was fiction, so I'm not sure how much of that is actually based in reality.
ConsciousDonkey: @Faptacular: Heh, seriously? Every day you see guro, scat, S/M, pedo/toddlercon etc here. And after all this time of such shit, you still find things you didn't want to know about? You were probably a saint before you found this site. :-D
Anonymous6: When I first saw the 2nd new episode of Season 4 and saw that white juice in the jar that Zecora gave to Twilight. I was thinking, yeah this is going on Rule 34. Lol
fishmonger: @Faptacular: By choice? I mean, I've never understood smoking, and I say this from the perspective of a former smoker (smoked for a year, didn't see the big deal, quit cold-turkey) but drinking can be a fun social activity. Have you been drunk/smoked cigarettes/done drugs before and decided that they weren't for you, or maybe you just never saw the appeal, or what? I tend to enjoy drinking more than I probably should, but I don't think that makes me a bad person or anything. It's the other aspects of my personality that make me a bad person.
Faptacular: @fishmonger: With smoking I can't stand the smell, not to mention the obvious health hazards of inhaling fire.
But with drinking there's a bunch of different reasons:
1) I know I have an additive personality so bad idea in general.
2) Related to too many alcoholics on both sides of the family.
3) Never saw a point to it so don't want to waste money I barely have in the first place on it.
4) Just the description of being drunk sounds beyond unpleasant to me.
5) Don't like the idea of relinquishing full-thinking control of myself.
6) Don't even like being around drunk people.
I was (just barely) buzzed once as a teenager and even then I knew I wanted no more of it.
