Anonymous2: And this is the adaptation that really emphasized John's USMC background (mostly so they could potentially use Hal's storylines without using Hal, since DC for a while said no one could use Hal except as Parallax, this actually killed a Green Lantern SNES game). In the comics, he's more known as an architect, really only having his military background emphasized under Didio.
