It's an image with characters, and a style, that I've never utilised before. The reason you may feel that the minecraft 'standard' is what I should be striving for is because of how much I draw it. The thing is... that's a style that I haven't been able to apply to other images. So I'll keep working on it, as much as I feel I can, but please don't be disappointed if the overall fidelity of your finished request is significantly lower than my minecraft drawings. Considering I did, like, six sketch variants, some with colour, I've already put more work into it than most of my other requests ^^;
Stay tuned! I hope I'll be able to get it to you soon =)

@Anonymous: I use photoshop for all my drawing now, and a graphics tablet =) I use cs6, but to be honest the free version of cs2 can do all the things I use it for. Some of the more rudimentary sketches I've done were sketched in SAI, but again, it's 99% Photoshop. Thanks for commenting!!

I probably spend 2-6 hours on minecraft stuff, but that's because I just fiddle and touch things up long after I could probably have 'finished' =P
Things like the transparent chest? I did versions where you could see the elbows, and the boobs, but... they just didn't look as natural. Anyway ^^;
