ChaosInuYasha: @Anon2 - because Japanese doujins are made by professionals and their own ideas(if not their own characters in fan doujins), whereas western comics are usually paid for by a commissioner who usually runs out of money as most artists charge PER PAGE not for a whole comic

Anonymous2: @ChaosInuYasha: Yeah, and that is a problem. Artists sees that commissioner has no money and just shrugs, instead of, you know, getting the job done, and finishing the story. How'd you like if someone left you hanging?

ChaosInuYasha: Yea well thats how artists work, its like if a building contracter ran out of money mid-building. The building wont get finished till the workers are paid

Anonymous3: @Anonymous: totally agree with you. Many "ongoing" comics that are really good and have a lot of potential, never get finished. Like the "Predator and Prey" Zootopia one, it's still not finished and there's been no update for months
