sin3: I like the alternate version. However I feel that her breasts are not behaving correctly in the position she is in (if the model allows it - I would move them higher on her chests and angle the nipples directly down). Another thing is that her fingers have even space between each digit so it looks like prongs on a fork which is especially noticeable on her left hand.
SnippsTheSlammer: @sin3:
Thanks for the advice.
In regards to the breast physics. I disagree with the breasts themselves being repositioned, due to the fact, they are being tightly held to her suit. However I do agree I could of did some slight-gravitational adjustment to outer-area of her breasts, such as the nipples. Perhaps I should make a better Checklist before I render something, so I don't run into noticable flaws in my artwork. I try to make my work as flawless as possible.
In regards to her finger posing. I didn't actually pose them. I did slightly adjust them so they wouldn't clip through the ground, and the palm could settle more appropriately. They were pre-posed like that from how they are in the game, when the model relaxes their hands. It's a cartoonish teen-friendly video game after-all. Realism isn't their objective.
sin3: As you said you want your work to be flawlessASP I would take greater diligence in scrutinizing the details that amateurs make the mistake of overlooking. When you create stills it is vital to make the body act and look as it would in our world. Mercy uses a lot of hand movements in the game that Blizzard have taken the time to animate and move in majestic flowing motions. If something is in the render and can be seen the final product you should take the time to make sure it looks good and touch it up. Her hands are the closest thing of interest to the lens. I think it would be more interesting to have her left hand twisting around as if shes casting resurrection or holding it out towards the viewer as she is often lending her hand to others.
SnippsTheSlammer: @sin3: I agree. I should try better next time. I don't want to labeled as an amateur. Thanks for the advice.
Also, +1 for creativity. I feel this project was one of my lazier ones, I could of done better with it. Onto the next though.
