Damn, she and Dick have the "parents have your life figured out for you, regardless of your wishes" trope in common.) Dick was only engaged to Kory over an in-universe year after The Killing Joke, and that was a long story that begins with him being raped by Mirage. And Barbara had no romantic interest in Dick in the 70s because a grown woman with a doctorate lusting after a child is disgusting. (I mean, people lose their minds if Bruce Timm pairs her with Batman, but she's honestly closer to Bruce's age than to Dick's. Not a problem, when he's 23 and she's in her 30s, but in his teens?)
