Anonymous2(1): @dennisandmooch: Everything eventually gets run into the ground if you just run it long enough. There is only so much you can do without changing the formula. Change up is a chance to delay the ineventible. Does not mean it works every time. Or even most of the time.

Anonymous3: @dennisandmooch: This is a regular human reaction. Things come up with novelty and freshness, then over the the time fans/viewers get used to it. The original target audience also gets older and tends to wear nostalgia glasses.

Things however get "better" a lot. It's just a question of perspective.
