Crimson-Snow: @Anonymous: Reika is overrated to the point I'm almost glad she's dead. Well as far as I'm concerned Reika is good it's just her fans I dislike ( same for Anzu. ) Kishimoto , Tae and Sei >>>>>>> Anzu and Reika.
Crimson-Snow: @Pyroking: maybe if you knew what the fuck each series was about and knew the fucking characters before randomly choosing series you don't know to jerk off to you'd know this is Reika and not a shitty RPG character.
Crimson-Snow: @Anonymous: Never got her popularity. Well actually she is really only popular in porn and ecchi stuff ect. Kishimoto is more iconic and did everything she did before she did it. The only difference is Reika is an idol and not really relatable to normal people whereas Kishimoto was just a normal girl.
Kishimoto killed herself because her other never treated her right and she was just a normal girl and had self esteem issues. After falling in love with Kato due to his kind nature and him saving her from yakuza scum she eventually sacrifices her new life for him out of love and has her feelings reciprocated in death. She comes completely full circle as beforehand she died because of her own despair but in the end she chose to die to protect the man who justifiably earned her love.
Reika ... she wanted to be a normal girl ect ect blah blah blah we get it and yeah it had some merit. She fell in love with Kurono ( who was not a cunt anymore , well for Kurono anyway ) because of the same reasons Kishimoto fell in love with Kato before. Just like Kishimoto before her Reika chose to die to protect the man she loved ( a Kurono clone that is as there were two of him at the time the clone and the original lol .)
Both girls have extremely similar body types and roles on the story the only difference is Reika was used a bit more for fan service and due to the poor writing in later arcs lasted a bit longer only to die the same way in the end. Kishimoto does seem a fair deal more realistic and well written and she is more iconic and overall more popular.
The single thing Reika has over her is cucks like to see her in porn and ecchi more. Don't get me wrong I like Reika but she is inferior as she is quite the rip off just with very slight differences which imo mark the downfall of Gantz writing. Rice > Poi Poi , regular teens >>> some martial artist queer who belongs in a shonen , aliens > Vampires. I could go on and on about how much of the later aspects of Gantz were inferior although I did enjoy Tae chan , the guys with mind powers and the final arc ( in a way anyway lol.) Still the final arc was infuriating with the only solace being I got to watch those fucking horsed faced cunts die and be wiped out. At least I can laugh at Reika fans that their queen is just as dead as mine.
Crimson-Snow: Oh and I also take pleasure in that they have to deal with the fact that Tae will always be Kurono's love. I'm fine with Anzu getting with Kato as if Kihimoto was alive and he had revived her like both he and Kurono had plans to the situation would be more complicated. The sad weird thing is Anzu and Kishimot would be like " sister wives " lmao.
Anonymous3: @Anonymous: I get where he’s coming from though and honestly I’m glad people like him are around to remind people that Reika is pretty much just a pretty face and a body. Gantz stopped being good after the Buddha Mission arc and the mangaka flew by the seat of his pants that’s why he had so much going on at once. I mean vampires?! Fucking vampires!?
Anonymous4: I sympathize with Kishimoto but I found Reika and Sei just way more likeable. I don’t think by large, the women in this series were written particularly well but to be fair a lot of characters come off like assholes like most of the Osaka team, Nishi, etc. I guess in comparison, that makes Tae like a breath of fresh air. Tae herself isn’t very interesting though, she epitomizes the nice and boring girlfriend trope in most male centric media although that’s probably the point. She’s normal, helps ground Kurono, gives him focus and a goal and is like an escape from the insanity and nonsense of the black ball, aliens and suit shit. I don’t think she works particularly well when you drop her in the middle all of the chaos like when Gantz put a target on her for some unexplained reason or when she’s trying to survive her own ordeal with the bugs and giants.
Also like I said, I do like Reika but I do find that most of her fan stuff kind of disappointing. It’s mostly rapey so I guess a lot of her fans don’t really much care for her outside of her looks and as an object of desire.
Crimson-Snow: @Anonymous: you make some good points and it makes me feel sad for trashing Reika a bit. Well it's true her fans mostly are shallow people so yes they don't like her for more than her looks. Don't get me wrong I DID like her but I find it incomprehensible to like her more than Kishimoto as Kishimoto was nicer and a more normal girl. I could see liking Sei more than any of them though as she was a special type of person and I'm very refreshed to see someone other than me and my friends like Tae chan too.
Well I agree about Tae chan but that's her appeal she's so very very normal and honestly Kishimoto was too just had a abnormal figure which was huge boobs and butt. If anything Kishimoto might be more normal than Tae as Tae had mangaka talent and art talent but Kishimoto did not show these feats. You see the reason Kishimoto is my favorite character in all Gantz is because she more than anyone else imo was a normal girl but in the end she died for a man who she loved and the whole reason she loved him was how kind he was and how he was the first person to treat her like anything other than a piece of meet in that room.
While it's true Reika's feelings for Kurono mirrored Kishimoto and Kato the difference is we see Reika be more jealous and entitled which is something we never saw of Kishimoto. To me everything Reika did Kishimoto did first and better imo. Her fans like her for her appearance and are shallow people imo at least mostly. I mean sure Kishimoto is super sexy but the reason she appeals to me is her personality and how normal she was and honestly Tae chan was second only to her for me. I liked them because they felt so real and so human and normal every day sweet girls you could meet. Reika is a fantasy and a self insert waifu for these people which again is shallow. I like Reika but despise her fans.
