Anonymous5: I thought it was more a pirate thing. Kinda like how gangs in japan get tats that both serve as a proof of loyalty and identify them as members, since the tats are forever. So Link getting a tatoo like Tetra's would mean that he belongs to her crew, which he does, in Phantom hourglass at least.
