Farfegnugen: Current reports: "unauthorized reupload" Is it a dupe? Is it on DNP list? (It's not, I checked.) Use a standardized report if you don't know what you are doing.
Anonymous1: @Farfegnugen: the artist has been trying to contact staff for a while now to get their art removed but nobody has responded yet. They want to be put on a DNP list and have any and all content by them taken down.
Anonymous2(1): @Farfegnugen: They sent an email to the staff they don't have an account here. They also sent a pm to a staff member on another site and they claimed to pass on a message but nothing has come of it. It's becoming very frustrating and they're looking into taking possible legal action.
Farfegnugen: @Anonymous: "They sent an email to the staff they don't have an account here." toaster_tub had an account in order to make the report. They can ask. There also, *looks* how about, oh I don't know, OneTrueKeroFucker?
"They also sent a pm to a staff member on another site" Why would "they" PM someone on a different site about an issue on this site, not knowing if it is actually the same person that works on this site. I'm almost sure there are other people that go by Farfegnugen on other websites that are not me. How dumb can "they" be?
Anonymous3(1): @Farfegnugen: I asked them. OneTrueKeroFucker was an old friend's account they borrowed and no longer has access to. toaster_tub isn't their account. I am using they since that's one of the pronouns they use.
Also maybe if contacting staff wasn't so hard they wouldn't have to contact people offsite. We talked to oniontrain on Furaffinity since it's the only recently active account connected to any staff here.
Can you please just have an ounce of sympathy here? They hate these drawings being out in the open like this, including art of their ocs. Some of this stuff was never uploaded outside of old closed friend circles and a lot of it is from a very dark and traumatic time with people who forced them into things.
Farfegnugen: "OneTrueKeroFucker was an old friend's account they borrowed and no longer has access to. toaster_tub isn't their account." That sounds like a bunch of convenient nonsense. Even more so since toaster_tub was the one that report the image as "unauthorized reupload".
"We talked to oniontrain on Furaffinity since it's the only recently active account connected to any staff here." Again, you are assuming the same person there is the same person here. You can always try again to get in touch there, but I wouldn't call that an official channel. Or the artist could try sending another e-mail, I don't know.
"Can you please just have an ounce of sympathy here?" After the threat of "legal action"? You get an eighth of an ounce. If you are asking me to remove all the images, I can not nor will not. We need to verify who is asking for the images to be removed, be it some random jerkoff looking to remove art they don't like or the artist. The e-mail does get checked and followed up. Not every second, every minute, or maybe every hour, but it does get checked by people (more than one person.) The artist, keyword being the artist, is welcome to try sending another e-mail.
Farfegnugen: @Anonymous: Very well.
@the_last_can: I could be more direct. I could just simply say, "The only artist can request images removed." from the get-go and walked away.
Farfegnugen: Hell, I will never understand why Battle for Dream Island brings out some much damn drama in the artist. Not like the fanbase as a whole firing on all pistons.
@Anonymous: I want to remind you because some people freaking forget after they send the e-mail; We only want to talk to the artist, not anyone else. Not their bestest bud, some Patreon user, a fanboy, or even Mommy or Daddy. Just the artist.
Anonymous8(1): @Farfegnugen: Yes the artist sent the email. Not some rando. Dreamsthefox themselves JUST sent the email with a screenshot proving they are Dreamsthefox. The artist. of the image above. not a fan, not a friend, the artist.
Anonymous9(1): @Farfegnugen: Thank you. They want to apologize for being harsh about this. It's been a stressful time for them trying to get art off here but the new uploads featuring only ocs are especially upsetting.
