Anonymous2(1): @NobleR2096: They could somehow get Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain for their movies but couldn’t get better writers. Honestly can’t tell how much of these X movies are just pure luck.
NobleR2096: @Anonymous: Jessica would have made such a good Emma Frost, compared to January Jones in First Class.... Nando v Movies' rewrite of Dark Phoenix is so much more interesting than what we ended up getting.
Anonymous3(1): @NobleR2096: God, you could do so much with the X-Men. All the powers they’ve got and shit they can do. I’m surprised when Jurassic World made a billion dollars, no one at Fox looked through the back catalogue of comics and proposed to send the team to the Savage Land. Nah, can’t get away from humanity fears them, bad mutants that makes things worse for the rest with Magneto in there somewhere.
NobleR2096: @Anonymous: It's amazing how Magneto went through the same fucking arc 3 times over in DOFP, Apocalypse, AND Dark Phoenix... what were they thinking?
Anonymous4(1): @NobleR2096: They were thinking this Fassy guy can act. To be fair to them though, comics are kind of guilty of this a lot. Characters that are sort of well known for being what they are have a real hard time dealing with growth or development. They get stuck in place or changes get done and it feels like they’re running in circles. Spider-Man is unfortunately stuck being financially unstable, single and struggling because if the dude ever gets ahead life, he loses that underdog status that people relate to or root for. And yet it gets increasingly hard to root for him because you’ll know he’s never allowed to really succeed. Shit’s gonna go bad for him and he’ll get reset to factory setting sooner or later.
NobleR2096: @Anonymous: Fassbender is certainly one of the best actors of his generation, indeed. His most powerful performance in my opinion was in Shame, where he plays a sex addict. It's a hard watch, but it's some of the best work he's ever done. Shame he doesn't really act that much anymore.... can't blame him though, he has Alicia Vikander to go home to, he races... probably tired from walking around with that third leg of his, too. Don't forget the kids.
The same thing goes for Batman. Nearly got married a couple years ago. Eh, he and Selina ARE practically married at this point, they don't need a ring.
Anonymous5(1): @NobleR2096: Always wanted to see Shame. Didn’t get the chance to. And while it’s unfortunate he’s not in more movie because he’s clearly a great talent, it’s cool as long as he’s happy doing whatever he’s doing. I’d never want to see an actor suffer or ruin their personal lives just to see them in more things. Maybe it’ll even give him time to be more selective about whatever he works on.
Batman surprisingly gets a few additions and changes to his life like a growing family and a biological son. Sure it did take him like forever to possibly maybe settle down with a lady but I guess that can partly be attributed to his drive and dedication to his work that completely compromised his own life and happiness. And attaining these things becomes slightly more manageable when he has a network, a bat family to lessen his load.
Anonymous6(1): @NobleR2096: Spidey been married for a long damn time but that didn’t stop them from nuking that shit. And DC loves a reboot. You never know when or if someone will come along and just undo shit and set a character back some.
