1. An energy field which alters the path of photons thus "bending" light around a person or object, like a Star Trek cloaking device or the Predator.
2. Refracting and projecting light from behind a person or object to in front of it, like active camouflage in Halo or a holographic projector a la Mirage from Apex Legends.
3. Altering quantum fields to slightly vibrate molecules, like the Flash, or increase the speed of electrons thus allowing photons to pass through unaffected, like in The Hollow Man.
