NeuroticNostalgia: @Orgium: I wish they'd keep featuring these instead of those controversial, offensive and morbidly disgusting ones just to aid their Animal Farm power fantasy.
Roflcakes: His death made me start thinking... What happens to Ghostbusters who die? Do the other, living members of the team have to capture their former partner's spirit?
jubilation_t_cornpone: @NeuroticNostalgia: I think a mixture would be best. Features like this are nice to look at, but there usually aren't that many comments. The controversial ones generate a lot more comments. True, many of them are incoherent ranting like the gay bashing in the olympic google pic, but other times some truly interesting stuff gets said, even when there is a fight.
I remember hearing that Dan Akroyd was considering having Bill Murray portray Venkman as a ghost that would stick around the firehouse, after so much time had passed from the last film.
Dunno how they'd work on a 3rd movie now... Especially since Bill Murray wasn't too keen on doing it to begin with.
traffik: A great comedy writer. "Ghostbusters" is still pretty high up there on the list of highest-grossing comedy films, which is even more impressive when you consider that in 1984, the average cost of a movie ticket was around $3.50.
Anonymous18: Rest in peace Harold Remis! Only 69... a Good number otherwise... but gone too soon!
The real question is not whether or not his old buddies would hunt him, but how about those other ghosts that may be holding a grudge...
Roflcakes: @TheBigMansini: As far as I know that third movie was pretty much dead in the water anyway. After what... years? of begging Murray they'd only just decided to start going ahead without him when this happens. As much as that sucks it's probably for the best.
TheBigMansini: @Roflcakes: Yeah, they waited too damn long... Always hate when that sorta thing happens. I think the same can be said of Stanley Kubrick trying to make a sequel for Dr. Strangelove... He actually wanted Terry Gilliam to direct it. One of Kubrick's confidants delivered that message to Gillam a few days after his death.
But yeah, it was essentially a dead idea... Though the concept of either doing a reboot or a continuation with a young cast is still possible.
Wont be the same without Mr. Ramis though. In any event Hollywood has a difficult time making movies with the same type of panache of a Ghostbusters, Back To The Future or even Indiana Jones franchise.
Farfegnugen: @traffik: Strips, Animal House, Caddyshack, Groundhogs Day. All very great. The last thing he wrote was Ghostbusters: The Video Game and it was pretty decent.
NynDeezNutz: first Marcia Wallace then Danny wells and then Shirley Temple now Harold Ramis
fucking new year is already gone bad! who's next June Foray?
Roflcakes: @TheBigMansini: Mmmm. At least 10 years of messing around with the idea and never getting anywhere with it.
Honestly, I'd hope Ramis's death is the final nail in the coffin (too soon?) for Ghostbusters 3. The last thing I want is an awful reboot with none of the key writers involved to sully the series.
NeuroticNostalgia: @jubilation_t_cornpone: Good point but I would like seeing more of these from time to time but something to make blood of every bigoted, homophobic jerkoff is kinda needed every now and again.
Skeppio: @Roflcakes Don't worry, even if Harold Ramis was still around, Bill Murray had already said he wasn't interested in reprising his role. And we already had the 2009 video game that was based off the concepts for Ghostbusters 3.
yttocs5991: ATTENTION ALL COOL KIDS, I have opened a challenge blog to where you can draw ans submit your own art work with daily challenges! http://dailyrule34challenge.tumblr.com/
Yeah not alot of traction, but I do what I must ^^.
Ricky_Roma: Probably the most respectful comments I've ever seen on a celebrity death feature.
I'll really miss him. It's cool we at least got the game but its such a pity they never got to do that 3rd film or failing that at least reboot the series while they were all still alive and could appear as cameos. Fuck we know Hollywood will remake it eventually anyway.
Flutter_Dash: I love the endless comments on the featured image. Like anybody actually looked up "Ghostbusters" before this came out as the featured image.
@Ricky_Roma: I'm pretty sure it'd actually be the fourth, I remember Murray making a lot of comments to the point that he didn't want to do a movie but was open to a game in an interview and that if a game surfaced it would be the 3rd 'flick' in canon.
GirlaPH: I remembered when my mother had to let me to close my eyes when the female ghost appeared and unzipped his pants. I cried because I didn't even knew what was going on back then.
Ghostbusters was the shit, even a sequel was the classic! RIP Harold Ramis, may your ghost reached to heaven.
BrickShitHouse: @Flutter_Dash:
>like anybody looked up Ghostbusters
What, the classic, beloved comedy adventure movie done by a beloved troupe of charismatic and brilliant comedians, writers and actors, that's remembered fondly, and considered by many to be one of the defining movies of not just the 1980's, but perhaps of all times?
Yeah, I'm certain nobody gave a flying fuck about that until now.
I hope you get testicular gangrene.

Amazingly enough, it's a pretty good pic.
Only thing is, Ray got the ghost blowjob in the movie. I guess we lucked out.
