SparktehFox: For the same reason anybody edits anything. They like the base/direction but believe the final product could be different/better. I hated things about the original and made changes. At least they are good changes and not something outrageous or offensive.
Anonymous7: Ultimately, in my opinion, it's up to @. Ideally, I think it would be best to ask the artist before you edit, but seeing as this is already done, unless @ has a problem with it, I don't see anything wrong. Maybe I'm biased because I do love the edit, but that's just my opinion. Love the original too.

To everyone complaining about the artist's intentions, the artist really has no argument as he/she's already infringing on someone else's work. He/she doesn't have the rights anyway and @SparktehFox just made what equates to another parody if anything.
