Anonymous6: Sure, the villain Chrysalis is all around cooler than the girly Cadence but the real reason for such difference in popularity is because Cadence was revealed quietly as a toy under radars of many fans. Later the information about her started slowly spreading out with rumors of her appearing in the cartoon.
Chrysalis, on the other hand, made a grand debut on screen out of nowhere for the millions to see, which worked especially well given how hyped the ending of the season was. Hundreds people rushed to their tablets to get firsties on the fanart of her, 34, humanization and such. And thus we're experiencing a massive boom of Chrysalis pics early on.
