Silent_Witness: Great. Because the artist depicted male Twilight as uncircumcised, there'll be a huge argument about whether cut or uncut is better.

Daniruu: Both are fine. I just like drawing uncut penis a lot.

Lapp: First that Celestia, now this magnificent gift to mankind? I love you so fucking much, Dani.

Roflcakes: @Silent_Witness: You just started it! Uncircumcised master race represeeeeeeeeeeent.

Roflcakes: @Lapp: Ugh. Fuck that.

Fuck that so hard...

Lapp: @Roflcakes: Yeah...while I'm atheist, I can perfectly respect religious people's beliefs (an oddly rare trait among atheists). It's more that I disapprove of the custom of making decisions for others early on, no matter how insignificant, like circumcision. Whenever I have children (well, if I do), I'd like to do my best to provide them the opportunity to make intelligent decisions based around their interests rather than my own.

But back on topic, I don't really have a preference of circumcised vs. uncircumcised. Up to this point, I'm quite happy trusting Dani's decisions on his artwork. c:

Roflcakes: @Lapp: Yep, that's the way I feel about it to a T. Even IF I was religious, there is no way I would be okay with having my (potential) child circumcised. Isn't it time we just let that practice die out?

My previous post might imply otherwise but I don't have a preference either way myself. Dicks is dicks, y'know?

Hierolocc: There's potential in using the stem cells in foreskins of newborns in creating skin grafts, so personal preferences aside, there is some use to the practice.

Lapp: @Hierolocc: Welp, in all due respect, potential and a usage in practice are quite different things. I'd have imagined that umbilical cords would leave one with little want for stem cells, but don't have anything to refute it, so hey. I suppose.

...This is going to make me sound embittered about circumcision, isn't it? :<

Hierolocc: @Lapp:

Nahrilly, but with the stupid shite people get themselves into, you can never have enough replacement grafting material on hand.

I see it as a purely cosmetic choice. The Book of Acts even lays out that you don't have to be circumcised (as in the case of the Gentiles), to be included into the whole Covenant deal. So I'm totally neutral on the matter.

Lapp: @Hierolocc: Probably best to stop here. I don't doubt that we could easily manage a civil conversation about religion and the absence thereof, but the Internet is the Kingdom of Bystanders, yeah? :>

Lapp: @Hierolocc: But not to sound rude, I do honestly agree. On the topic, motivations aside. :)

Hierolocc: Eurp.

As was put quite fittingly; dicks be dicks. Let be as let be.
